I’m going natural!
So yes, I’ve made the decision and I’m sticking to it. I’m letting this perm grow out and I’m just going to have natural, non-chemicalized hair. I made the decision a couple of months ago, but I had to plan it out first. I needed to have some kind of long-term hairstyle for China. I decided on a sew-in for the first two months, and then braids for the last two months. Since I knew I was coming to Arizona before I went to China, I couldn’t come busted. So I got my final touch-up before graduation on December 11th. Enough to look fly for graduation and festivities and still look good for Arizona. The timing would work out so right before I leave would be around the time to get another touch up. Thus, the sew-in would have enough new growth for the braids to braid and the sew onto. (Hopefully, my bro bro can follow all of these terms since I have explained them in great detail)
I am really excited about going natural because hopefully my hair will finally make it longer than just my shoulders. I have never known its full natural growth potential because I have been getting relaxers since 6th grade, omg! So, I’ll see how it goes, wish me luck.
ps. Still trying to decide if I will post pictures of the transition.
LOL Yup I followed along smoothly. It made way more sense than it would have otherwise. I hope it works out for you and maybe some of your brain cells that were killed by all those scalp chemicals will return to their full potential!!!
